Called “pioneers” by Minnesota Public Radio, OboeBass! (Glen Ridge native, Carrie Vecchione, oboe, Rolf Erdahl, bass) specializes in chamber music of a different color. They are the only professional oboe/bass duo in the world and perform recitals and educational programs around the country. Their music is a mix of Classical and popular traditions such as jazz and dance and ethnic music. Recordings include "Monk Fish Tango," "The Story of Babar the Little Elephant," the book/CD - "Askelad and the Seven Silver Ducks," and their debut recording, "It Takes Two ..."
